Buy a duck box was created to allow everyone to be able to provide a home for some of the most beautiful waterfowl species on the planet, Wood Ducks (Aix Sponsa), Buffleheads (Bucephala Albeola), Barrows Goldeneyes (Bucephala Islandica) and Common Goldeneyes (Bucephala Clangula), as well as be able to connect and see their contribution.

 

These are species of waterfowl that build there breeding nests traditionally in tree cavities. These are normally created by tree diseases, fire scaring, lightning and cavity making animals such as Woodpeckers, Chickadees and Red Breasted Nuthatch's.   

 

Studies have shown that their is an average of a 30% increase in duckling populations in areas where duck boxes are used and maintained properly. So we at Buy a Duck Box took on a challenge, how can we get more people involved and get more beautiful ducks in the air? and this was our answer!
